In 2018, Neil Gibson was named Senior Vice President of Global Customer Experience (CE) at FedEx. In this role, he oversees the global effort to connect FedEx customers with outstanding experiences. He leads more than 11,000 team members who Own Outstanding during more than 500,000 daily transactions around the world, as part of a tightly coordinated Customer Experience operation that includes Package Research & Recovery, Packaging Services, Revenue Planning, Fraud Security & Controls, as well as CE Global Systems, Digital and Insights.
Under Neil’s leadership, the Global Customer Experience team collaborates with the Global Marketing organization to deliver the Purple Promise through world-class customer experience design.
Throughout his 24 years with FedEx, Neil has demonstrated his strong leadership skills and honed his ability to build organizations that create efficiency and add value to the FedEx customer experience. He has held leadership positions in corporate communications, marketing, U.S. export product management, product development, and digital marketing.
Before joining FedEx, Neil served as a Captain in the United States Air Force leading military and civilian personnel in the evaluation of new weapons and communications systems.
Raised in Maryland, he earned his bachelor’s degree from Clemson University and his master’s degree from the University of Memphis. In addition to his work at FedEx, Gibson is an active member of his community and is a board member for the New Memphis Institute, Ballet Memphis and Temple Israel.
